Auckland Council gives notice that it intends to promote the Auckland Council (Auckland Future Fund) Bill.

The objective of the Bill is to ensure the Auckland Future Fund continues as a long-term financial investment for the benefit of the current and future communities of the Auckland region.

Copies of the Bill will be available for inspection at the Auckland Central City Library (44/46 Lorne Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010) from Monday 2 December 2024 to Friday 20 December 2024.

The Long-term Plan 2024-2034 sets out how Auckland Council will work to improve the daily lives of Aucklanders over the next 10 years and how the council will fund its activities. The plan was adopted by the council’s Governing Body on 27 June, 2024.

The Long-term Plan includes the establishment of the Auckland Future Fund, to protect the value of the council’s intergenerational assets, enhance cash returns, deliver diversification and improve financial flexibility.
